The Best Italian Summer Cocktail You have Never Heard Of

Say Hello to the Hugo Spritz

Hugo Spritz
A refreshing combination of Elderflower, mint, Prosecco, and club soda or seltzer, this cocktail is growing in popularity among beachgoers on the Amalfi Coast, but is still very much a secret to most travelers in Italy.

According to Mixology magazine, The Hugo Sprtiz was originally created in 2005 in the Italian town of Naturno by bartender Roland Grube as an alternative to the famous Aperol Sprtiz. Unlike the traditional Aperol Sprtiz, which has more of a tart flavor, the Hugo spritz has a more floral aroma and a touch of sweetness that makes it a top pick for many.

Ready to make this delicious cocktail at home? It's simple! Combine:
1 oz St. Germain

Top with soda water or seltzer
Finish with ice
Enjoy!

Want to pair this delicious cocktail with your favorite biscotti? We suggest pairing it with the White Chocolate Lemon Pistachio Biscotti to complement the sweetness of the Elderflower.
